AI Artificial Intelligence

Discover a range of AI workshops designed for school groups. These workshops are designed to introduce your pupils a range of topics and issues surrounding the concept of Artificial Intelligence.

As part of their computing themed learning, schools are increasingly incorporating workshops focused on the topic of artificial intelligence (AI) in order to prepare students for the technological advancements and innovations that are rapidly transforming the modern world.

Our AI workshops look at the differences between humans and machines and learn about the implications of integrating AI into our society, including ethical concerns such as privacy and data protection, bias, and job displacement, and give children hands on oppporunities to experiment with building simple AI programmes. A perfect introduction to computer models and intelligent behaviour.

Robotics

The field of robotics has been close to the cutting edge of IT for decades and is still a big favourite with children. From the simplest industrial robots used in manufacturing assembly lines to the advanced humanoid robots capable of complex movements and decision-making, the field of robotic technology is continuously evolving.

By highlighting real-world examples, students can better understand the potential of robots. The school group workshops below give your children the opportunity build simple robots using a range of sensors and motors, combined with code such as scratch and python to introduce or futher their understanding of coding and its various applications.

As well an introduction to more technical aspects of IT such as engineering and coding, these workshops help develop skills such as team work and problem-solving, and creative thinking.
