Internet Safety Workshop: Digital Skills for Life (KS2)

Are you looking to address pupil behaviour in group chats?

Or maybe you want to empower your pupils with the skills needed to stay safe on social media?

Introducing Digital Skills for life, the interactive internet safety workshop that supports your KS2 pupils to stay safe online.

The workshop draws on real-life challenges that young people face in group chats, online gaming, and social media.
Through role-play, your pupils will learn specific skills to support them to stay safe online.

The workshop also builds critical thinking skills by helping students identify scams and question if something is AI generated.

Your pupils will learn to:
⭐Describe some of the pressures that people can feel when they are using social media.
⭐Describe how to be kind and show respect for others online, including respecting boundaries.
⭐Describe how what one person perceives as playful joking and teasing might be experienced by others as bullying.
⭐Explain how anyone can get help if they are being bullied online and identify when to tell a trusted adult.

I can explain how anyone can get help if they are being bullied online and identify when to tell a trusted adult.

I can identify a range of ways to report concerns and access support both in school and at home about online bullying.

I can explain how to block abusive users.

I can describe the helpline services which can help people experiencing bullying, and how to access them (e.g. Childline).
