Educational tours by Subject or Location
Planning an overseas school trip? There are many exciting and educational destinations that can provide your students with memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Popular international school trip options include historically and culturally rich European cities like Paris, Rome, and Barcelona, where students can explore ancient ruins, visit world-renowned museums, and immerse themselves in different languages and ways of life.
For those interested in wildlife or outdoor adventures, destinations like Costa Rica, and Iceland and Africa offer breathtaking landscapes, unique wildlife, and opportunities for hiking and other thrilling activities.
Language immersion trips to France or Spain allow students to practice their language skills while experiencing daily life where English is not the first language.
Science and STEM-focused tours can take you to science and technology hubs like CERN, NASA or Silicon Valley.
No matter the subject focus, an overseas school tour exposes young people to new perspectives and pushes them out of their comfort zone, building confidence, adaptability, and global awareness that will serve them well in their future education and careers.

EU School Travel 2026: Navigating EES and ETIAS
22 December 2025Planning an overseas trip for 2026? Significant changes are coming to how UK school groups enter Europe. To ensure a smooth journey, it is vital for teachers and EVCs to understand the new Entry/Exit System (EES) and the ETIAS visa waiver scheme.
Key updates for your 2026 overseas trips:
Biometric Checks (EES): By April 2026, the EES will be fully operational across all EU borders. Students and staff will need to provide fingerprints and facial scans. While this replaces passport stamping, coaches should factor in extra time at ports like Dover and Folkestone for these registrations.
Travel Authorisation (ETIAS): Launching in late 2026, ETIAS will be a mandatory pre-departure requirement (similar to a US ESTA). While under-18s are exempt from the fee, they must still apply and hold valid authorisation to travel.
Passport Readiness: Ensure all passports have at least 6 months’ validity and are less than 10 years old. Data collected for EES is generally valid for 3 years, streamlining future trips.
Staying ahead of these regulatory changes is the best way to ensure your students enjoy a stress-free cultural exchange or language immersion tour.
