Which curriculum topics do we cater for?

green tick Maths

Logic and Problem Solving Graphs and data

Click to read full text Mathematics is at the heart of AI, machine learning and deep learning algorithms. An AI in Schools workshop, with a Maths focus, is an excellent way to teach pupils how to apply their learning of Maths concepts and numeracy in a real-world context. Tailored to the ability of pupils, the workshop will introduce pupils to the concept of weights and biases in neural network graph calculations. How data features can be used to train nodes when classifying data and the impact of high and low quality training data on the effectiveness of the solution. Programming skills and mathematical formulae will also be included.

green tick Computing

Coding Information and Communications Technology Algorythms and data Cyberbullying Online Safety Artificial Intelligence Game Design

AI and programming are at the heart of Computing, with demand for these skills increasing exponentially. An AI in Schools workshop will deliver theoretical content about AI, machine and deep learning to complement the curriculum and GCSE/A-Level specifications. Pupils will design algorithms, implement complex programming techniques using block or text-based languages (Scratch, Python, Google's Teachable Machine) and test their fully-developed AI applications in a real-world context.

green tick Careers

Inspire your pupils to consider an innovative career in AI through exploring current and future trends in technology. Understand educational pathways and possible university degrees and apprenticeships. Recognise the diverse range of industries within tech and AI, such as ethical hacking, algorithmic design and product management via case studies and engaging discussions for how to build an effective CV.

green tick Engineering

Software Engineering is an exciting and rewarding career. Engineers bring knowledge of computer programming, algorithmic design and engineering principles to create web applications, games and complex systems. An AI in Schools workshop, tailored to software engineering, will equip learners with the knowledge and capabilities to engineer their own AI applications and test them in a real-world context.

What size groups do we cater for?

A maximum of 30 pupils per workshop

Access for visitors with disabilities

Yes, our workshops are run in the school.

Visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Our workshops are designed to be inclusive and adaptable for pupils with Special Educational Needs. We tailor activities to suit different learning styles, provide clear, structured instructions, and offer scaffolded support to ensure every student can engage at their own pace.

We can adjust the pace, complexity, and format of activities, use visual aids and step-by-step guidance, and incorporate alternative input methods where needed. If you have specific requirements, we’re happy to discuss adaptations to make the workshop accessible and enjoyable for all learners.
