Bursaries
A number of the venues we feature offer bursaries to help schools make educational school trips cheaper. Many schools operate on eroded budgets and educate a proportion of children whose parents may not be able to afford the extra funding that schools often have to ask for in order to be able to take the children on learning opportunities beyond the classroom. Bursaries, perhaps established by wealthy philanthropists, charity fund raising, or generous donations, are put in place to help disadvantaged school groups.
