PSHE and Citizenship Workshops for Schools
Developing knowledge, skills and understanding
PSHE or personal, social, health and economic education looks at how children's personal and work-related skills can be developed to help them take an activie role in society. Closely linked is the study of Citizenship, where pupils are taught about hot topics like politics, democracy and the role of parliament and the monarchy, law and the role of the police, and economics on a personal level and at a national scale. Having the knowledge and being informed citizens is key to being able to take part in society in a meaningful way.
Topics of study, to name just a few, include discrimination such as bullying, racism, or sexism. Treating each other with respect. Relationships. Food and healthly lifestyles. Fitness. Social media. Income and expenditure. Pensions and Savings.
