Where we travel to

We can visit your school in:

What activities are available during this school workshop?

We will bring a dome and show this film, our presenter will talk about the history and also show fossils for hands-on learning.

Which curriculum topics do we cater for?

Archaeology Workshop

Real fossil handling, as well as the film, 'Dinosaur Prophecy':

Long before the familiar massive extinction of dinosaurs 65 million years ago, many individual species of dinosaur simply disappeared. Visit dinosaur graveyards, study their bones and reconstruct how these creatures lived and died to solve mysteries from the Age of the Dinosaurs.

Dinosaur Prophecy examines the extinction of these dominant and at times ferocious creatures, revealing the Earth's enormous power and potential for dramatic and devastating change.

Geology Workshop

Fossils

We will bring a dome and show this film, our presenter will talk about the history and also show fossils for hands-on learning.

Educational content includes continental drift, proper motion of stars, asteroids and impacts, mass extinctions and the convergent development of flight amongst species.

Biology Workshop

Evolution inheritance and variation (KS3/4)

Dinosaurs at Dusk - the Origins of Flight

Travel back in time through the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous geological periods in search of the ancestors of modern-day birds, the feathered dinosaurs.

Join a father and his teenage daughter Lucy, who share a fascination for all things that fly, as they travel back in time navigating from continent to continent, exploring an Earth teeming with dinosaurs in search for clues on the origins of flight.

Racing against time, they paraglide through ancient skies with Quetzalcoatlus, flee from raptors and traverse deserts with Argentinosaurus. They walk through rain forests, climb ice cliffs, sail over primordial seas and parachute into a huge sinkhole in their search for the first flying birds. When time runs out they even experience first-hand the cataclysmic 'final day' of the dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs Workshop

Engaging "Hands-on Dinosaur" workshop designed to bring palaeontology to life for students. Through interactive activities and expert-led sessions, students can become 'Dinosaur Rangers,' learning to care for and handle lifelike dinosaur models. This workshop is ideal for schools studying dinosaurs and prehistoric life, providing a dynamic, hands-on approach to learning. With nationwide coverage and tailored sessions for all age groups, it's a memorable way to enrich your curriculum and inspire young minds.
