We work with up to 30 children at any one time for a minimum of 60 minutes. Additional children are charged at £4 per person. We offer special day rates for multiple workshops and can deliver two different topics on the same day to help manage costs for schools.
Online sessions are jointly hosted by the teacher and actor and may or may not be recorded, depending on the preference of the school. Ideally workshops take place in a school hall with a large screen, however, they can also work extremely well in a classroom, with desks pushed aside. Our Risk Assessment document is available upon request and is updated regularly to comply with all current advice and guidelines.
Online workshops are delivered live by professional actors and offer a fully interactive experience, enhancing learning in a creative environment. They are structured in the same way as an on-site visit and have the advantage of utilising the benefits of technology – in particular, virtual backgrounds, enabling actors to transport children back in time, to any era or location. School will require a good internet connection and ideally a large screen to project our actor on to, so all the children have good visibility. The Drama Hut currently using Zoom but can also work with Teams if this is a school preferred platform. We suggest online sessions last no longer than 75 minutes and recommend teachers test the link prior to the visit, to ensure sound and picture quality.

We believe that through drama, children can truly experience a subject, complementing and enhancing learning in the classroom. Through improvisation, role play, movement and song, our costumed actors can bring the curriculum to life. Whether you choose to have us visit you online or on-site, all our workshops are delivered live and are fully interactive. Prices start at £150 for a single online session with discounts available when multiple sessions are booked. For on-site visits, we are also able to deliver two different topics to different year groups on the same day.
Whether it's a history topic, creative writing workshop, PSHE or an opportunity to celebrate a significant person or event, let us help you to inspire learning outside of the classroom with a Drama Hut workshop
"Every drama activity was carefully planned and chosen to teach the children new information about the Egyptians. Anna engaged the children and the children really responded well to her approach. At point I left the room for 5 minutes and came back to everyone singing, chanting and doing actions to a song they had just learned using all the names of the Egyptian Gods, which was great to see! Thank you!"
Year 3 teacher Welsh House Farm Community School
"Lillie was so professional and truly captured each child’s interest. Even the ‘too cool’ kids we’re fully engaged and enjoyed every second. The content was fantastic to begin out topic and the children have remembered a lot and applied it to their further learning. All of the children have wrote a letter to express their enjoyment and appreciation for their workshop. I would fully recommend! Thank you"
Nicola, Year 4/5 St Joseph's, Malmesbury
"The energy of our lead was fantastic- she kept up high energy levels across the groups, being able to motivate and move on the children quickly. The children were able to retain the information they were taught and we were impressed with our knowledge. "
