Great Explorers-Christopher Columbus and Amelia Earhart Workshop

Aviation and exploration by air was a phenomenon in the early 20th Century history and has changed our world forever. Exploring this with Amelia Earhart, the first female pilot to cross the Atlantic takes the children on an exciting and memorable adventure.

Travel back in time with Amelia Earhart who will share her passion for adventure as the first female pilot to fly across the Atlantic ocean. During the workshop the children will also be introduced to Christopher Columbus, Joseph Banks, Nellie Bly and Neil Armstrong, however if you and your class are studying a particular explorer, we will happily include them! During the session the children will:

- Through improvisation, role play and movement, explore what makes an explorer, who they are and why they explore! During the session the children will, create a time line of explorers, perform a poem and take part in a short, quick fire quiz

Led by Amelia Earhart, during this workshop, children will also be introduced to other great and important explorers such as Christopher Columbus, Joseph Banks, Nellie Bly and Neil Armstrong.
