Meet Sally Spade, our Space enthusiast, as she takes your class on an adventure that will be out of this world! Through role play and improvisation Sally will explore themes with your class such as the order of the planets, a brief history of space travel, the Apollo 11 Moon Landing in 1969 and why astronauts would want to venture into the realms of space! Children will be up on their feet working in teams to recreate iconic moments of Space travel history, using their acting skills to perform a poem about Space and even imagining how Astronauts would feel and move when walking on the moon.

As this workshop is all about our Solar System and space travel it touches on the topic of physics. This Space themed workshop should help to give children a better understanding of the exciting universe around us!
At The Drama Hut all of our workshops include tailored, fully interactive, drama games, role play, teamwork exercises, group activities, songs, movement and more, led by a professional costumed actor.
Within the workshop we focus on the Apollo 11 Mission and look at the first men to step foot on the moon: Neil Armstrong and Edwin ('Buzz') Aldrin. The class will get the opportunity to step into their shoes (or astronaut boots!) and experience how these pioneers would've felt as they ventured onto the Moon's surface!
Children with special educational needs really benefit and enjoy our workshops.
At the Drama Hut, we believe that schools should have ready access to drama in order to support learning. In providing an on-site and online service to schools, we offer a cost- effective alternative to expensive school trips, helping to bring history workshops from the curriculum to life. Through drama, children are able to experience a subject, complementing and enhancing their learning in the classroom.
All our team are trained both in facilitation and performance. They have experience working with children of all ages and share a common passion for learning through drama. All facilitators are DBS checked and implement The Drama Hut CPP (Child Protection Policy).
