Iceland is one of the most fascinating countries in the world. With its inspirational natural beauty and diverse geological wonders, it is a photographer’s dream and an ideal destination for all aspiring geographers.
Visit varied volcanic landscapes such as Hekla (the country’s most active volcano) and Eyjafjallajokull, which infamously erupted in 2010. See many spectacular waterfalls, walk between Europe and North American tectonic plates at the World Heritage Site of Pingvellir or relax in some of the beautiful geothermal pools located around the country.
The capital city of Reykjavik is a great base to start, and with frequent flights at around 2½ to 3 hours in duration – it’s closer than you think!
Here at Rondo Travel we listen closely to your requirements and build a tour that suits your needs and not the needs of the tour operator. All tours are financially protected through the ABTA & ATOL schemes. Rondo Travel are proud to be one of the founding members of the school travel forum and one of the first school tour operators to be awarded the learning outside the classroom quality badge.
Iceland is fast becoming the destination for school trips with a geography or geology focus. Rondo Travel construct interesting, exciting, thought provoking educational tours that leave a lasting impression. Where else in the world can you stand between two tectonic plates. At Rondo Travel wherever possible we try to ensure you only deal with one person from start to finish including been on call during your tour.
