Krakow School Trips

IBT Travel

trip icon Krakow was the capital of Poland for many centuries and as such has gathered many of the countries artefacts within its World Heritage boundaries. A picturesque medieval city that boasts Europe's largest central square surrounded by the most beautiful buildings and monuments. Krakow's buildings remained unscathed through the Second World War and the area offers a fascinating insight into that era with Auschwitz concentration camp, Schindler's Factory and the Galicia Jewish Museum. Add to this the nearby salt mines and you have a complete educational package available in the city.

Additionally, school groups can visit the Schindler's Factory Museum, which tells the story of Oskar Schindler, a German businessman who saved the lives of over 1,000 Jews during the war, which provide a powerful lesson on courage and humanity.

The Krakow Ghetto, where thousands of Jews were forcibly relocated and suffered under Nazi rule, is another important historical site that can help school groups grasp the severity of the war's impact on Poland and its people, making Krakow an ideal destination for learning about this pivotal moment in history.
