What size groups do we cater for?

Groups usually start at a minimum of 10 with no maximum group size. For primary & middle schools we work on a 1:10 free place for a teacher.

On-site classroom facilities?

If you require use of a classroom or meeting room we will always try and facilitate this for you. Please let us know at the initial request stage.

Is there first aid on site?

In our experience, schools normally have at least one accompanying member of staff who is a current registered first aider. For coach groups a coach will always have a first aid box on board.

Access for visitors with disabilities

Curriculum Travel will always try to assist to ensure inclusivity on any of our group trips. This is best achieved by discussing any special requirements from the initial inquiry. Sadly not all destinations are currently accessible but we will always advise on suitable alternatives or work arounds.

Visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Curriculum Travel is proud of its history in providing successful and rewarding tours to many groups with SEN needs. The needs of the individual are always taken into consideration

Who are Curriculum Travel?

Edinburgh, Scotland's capital, is strategically situated in the southeast, along the southern fringe of the Firth of Forth. This city boasts a unique dichotomy of architecture, merging the medieval charm of its Old Town with the Georgian elegance of its New Town, creating a stunning tapestry of historical edifices. Dominating the cityscape are the majestic Arthur’s Seat and the iconic Edinburgh Castle, enhancing its picturesque setting.

Ideal for academic exploration, Edinburgh offers students an immersive experience in history, culture, and governance without the need for extensive travel. As a hub of cultural richness, the city is home to an array of premier museums, galleries, and attractions, ensuring an educational journey across various disciplines, all concentrated within the historic bounds of the Royal Mile. Highlights include the Edinburgh Castle, the intriguing Camera Obscura, the narrative-rich John Knox House, and Dynamic Earth, where students can engage in Earth sciences through interactive exhibits that narrate the planet's evolution.

Additionally, the Scottish National Museum presents an educational resource with downloadable study materials to enrich the learning experience.

Edinburgh also celebrates its connection to the Harry Potter series, offering numerous sites that captivate fans of the magical world of Hogwarts.

For those organizing curriculum-focused excursions, our tour managers are on hand to align your trip with specific educational goals, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience that seamlessly integrates academic rigor with entertainment.

At Curriculum Travel, we cater predominantly to Primary and Middle Schools, recognizing the unique requirements and interests of younger students. Addressing practical concerns, such as restroom locations, is part of our commitment to a seamless experience.
