Rock UK is a Christian charity so we can teach Christian values through practical hands-on activities. For groups that choose, we can incorporate Christian themes into some of the activity sessions, allowing children to ask questions and learn more about the Christian faith from a different perspective.
With over 20 adventure activities on offer, healthy meals and active days, residential breaks at Whithaugh Park promote healthy and active lifestyles for all ages and abilities. Getting children unplugged from technology and out into nature and the outdoors teaches the importance of physical education and a healthy lifestyle.
With 110 acres to play in, Whithaugh Park offer the perfect place to get immersed in nature and the outdoors. Bushcraft survival skill sessions can either be instructor-led, where we will teach the group to make fires, build shelters and survive in the wild, or teachers can use the grounds of the centre to run their own sessions including shelter-building and campfires.
Yes we do. We advise the group leaders to get in contact with specific details so we can advise what we can offer and create a programme specifically designed for the needs of the group. Our instructor team has experience working with a wide range of special educational needs.
Rock UK is a charity that has been running residential activity centres nationwide since 1922. Whithaugh Park is our stunning centre in the Scottish Borders and can offer a residential trip your pupils won't forget!
Accommodation - Our Scandinavian style lodges can offer accommodation for groups of 2 -192 people. They are set out in clusters allowing flexibility for groups of all sizes, as well as privacy and space to enjoy the gorgeous surrounding countryside. You can choose either a self-catered or fully catered trip and will get use of an indoor meeting/hangout space for relaxing in-between activities and spending time as a group.
Activities - Whithaugh Park offers over 20 different adventure activities for all ages and abilities. We will work with your group leader to build the activity programme around the individual needs and goals of your group. We keep activity groups small so sessions are interactive and engaging for all participants. Get the adrenaline pumping on our 300M double zip line, high ropes course, or climbing tower. Or try and stay dry during raft building, canoeing or Kayaking on our water sports lake. Or even just take in the views whilst mountain biking, hiking or gorge-walking. We also have an indoor heated swimming pool and large indoor sports hall for groups to use.
