PrimeVR
Our virtual reality workshops are a great way of bringing your science day to life! Each workshop uses virtual reality to create a completely unique learning experience.

Our Science VR days are designed to spark curiosity and inspire big questions, perfectly tying into the 2026 British Science Week theme: “Curiosity – what is your question?” Through our immersive workshops, pupils can journey into space to ask how planets, stars and galaxies came to be; explore animal adaptations to discover why creatures survive in such extreme environments; and investigate the impact of climate change, questioning what actions can protect our planet’s future. By stepping inside these virtual worlds, pupils are encouraged not just to learn the facts, but to ask their own scientific questions and think like real explorers.

We can visit your school in:
English WorkshopAt PrimeVR, we understand how difficult it can be to inspire children with their writing. We aim to create excitement by using VR to help children learn all about science. Not only will we provide your class with exciting facts about each topic but we'll also provide them with an experience to ignite their imagination. Give VR a go and see how it helps with creative writing!
Physics WorkshopPrimeVR can bring your science topic to life by blasting your pupils into space! Using virtual reality headsets, we'll introduce your class to the different planets in our Solar System, their respective sizes, the Milky Way Galaxy and we'll even get to see the International Space Station!
Biology WorkshopPrimeVR can bring your topic to life by transporting your class around the world to see a wide range of animals and habitats. Using virtual reality headsets, we'll take your class to Antarctica to see some penguins, the Amazon Rainforest to see a tarantula, the African savannah to see some lions, the Indian Ocean to see some sperm whales and many more. This workshop is a great way of bringing your topic to life!
We have extensive experience delivering workshops in a wide range of SEN settings, working with students from KS2 through to KS4. The feedback we have received from schools about our VR workshops has been overwhelmingly positive. We offer a range of workshops that can be adapted to suit the individual needs of your students.
Before confirming a booking, we arrange a call with the school to discuss your students’ needs in detail. This allows us to explain how the day will run, what you can expect from the sessions, and to agree on any additional measures or adjustments that may be needed to ensure all students feel comfortable and supported.
To make our visits viable, we encourage whole-school participation (KS2 and above). Our workshops are highly engaging and immersive, so we recommend a maximum session length of 30 minutes per class to help prevent fatigue or sensory overload.
Our VR headsets are accessible for students who use wheelchairs. Depending on individual preference, the headset strap can be worn over the head or the device can simply be held up to the eyes like a pair of binoculars. If any students find the headset overwhelming, we also provide tablets as an alternative (usually up to four per visit). This ensures that all students can still take part and engage with the content in a way that feels comfortable for them.
As our workshops are predominantly visual, students with hearing impairments are still able to benefit from the experience.
For safety reasons, we recommend that students who are prone to seizures or who have epilepsy consult with a medical professional before using a VR headset. We also require parental or guardian consent for all students who will be using our VR equipment.
Please get in touch if you would like to discuss how we can support your school or if you have any questions about our SEN-friendly approach.

"Stuart came to my school to run workshops with KS2 children. He ran different ones for each year group, based on things they'd studied in science to tie in with our science focus week. The children loved the experience, as did the adults who had the chance to join in. I'm only disappointed that I didn't get the chance to have a turn!
Stuart was really helpful before the visit, keeping in touch via email regularly. I would definitely recommend PrimeVR to other schools."
