Nursery visits are self-led, offering a ratio of one free adult per child, with a minimum of 20 pupils. Our nursery visits incorporate the indoor playbarn and you will be allocated a picnic barn for lunch and a space to store your bags and lunches on arrival.

green tick Farm School Trip

We offer tailored talks around all aspects of the farm, predominantly livestock and how to care for animals, plus helping children develop an understanding of how farming fits into the wider world. A dedicated member of staff will take the children through your chosen activities which involves moving across our 45 acre site. Plus a chance for Q&A as you go!

green tick Wildlife School Trip

Our site is set within the beautiful rolling Surrey Hills, and we therefore have acess to nature and wildlife every single day. Much of the visit will be structured however we allow free time for children and teachers to explore. Our staff can offer advise of where to go bug hunting, and what birds and wildlife to look out for. For a specific interest in Wildlife or conservation please ask us in advance of your visit.

green tick Food School Trip

Where food comes from

In our schools garden we look at how food can be grown from a tiny seed to a fruit. Or if you are more interested in our pigs, cows or sheep we can talk to your class about responsible and fair farming practices.

green tick Dinosaurs School Trip

We have a wonderful Dinosaur Roar trail which we offer as a self led activity. Created in conjunction with the Natural History Museum this is a fantastic addition to your Farm visit. Why not tie this in with a bird talk so we can compare and contrast the development and differences of both!

What size groups do we cater for?

Schools will be split into class sized groups to participate in activities. The minimum number for a school or nursery group is 20, there is a minimum number of 8 pupils for a small educational group and an SEND group. We also offer a self led Small Educational Group session for classes with 8 to 19 pupils.

On-site classroom facilities?

We do not have indoor classroom facilities, however we pride ourselves on providing outdoor learning and giving pupils the chance to embrace life outdoors.

Is there first aid on site?

Yes we always have staff on-site who are first aid qualified and a fully stocked first aid room.

Access for visitors with disabilities

Most areas of the farm are wheelchair accessible but due to the green belt location within the Surrey Hills the land does rise and fall and at times paths can become uneven. Please also be aware the farm is located on a slight hill.
We have an accessible toilet in the lower part of the farm and a Changing Places toilet located in our Play Barn. We also have disabled parking bays.
Should you have any specific queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

We offer an SEND schools package that is particularly tailored to children with additional needs and our Education Lead has a background in SEND. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any specific enquiries. We offer a separate session for SEND classes allowing you to have the morning to adjust and explore the farm and after lunch you have the opportunity to access two sessions- animal interactions and an animal feeding session. These will be led by a member of our Education Team.
