At The Drama Hut, we believe that schools should have ready access to drama in order to support learning. The Drama Hut was created in order to provide an affordable on-site service that teachers could access, to help bring the curriculum to life. Through drama, children are able to experience a subject, complementing and enhancing their learning in the classroom.
With over two hundred schools visited last year, we are passionate about the impact that drama within schools, can have on children’s education.

Current School Trip Offer

Following the unforeseen closure of schools, we have adapted our workshops to be able to offer schools an online experience. Workshops will last approximately 45 minutes and include a pre recorded short video which will be forwarded ahead of the scheduled session and include some optional 'prep' for children. We are offering sessions at a reduced price of £100 plus VAT whilst schools remain closed and will review this as things change. We remain committed to providing support to teachers in enhancing school topics in a fun and educational way during these difficult times. During this workshop our professional actor will take on the role of Christopher Columbus Master of the Seas, who is keen to share his knowledge and love of Travel. Together, the children will explore some of the exciting continents Christopher and his fellow adventurers discovered, paving the way for world travel today. This is a whistle stop tour and the perfect accompaniment to your KS1 geography topic. With the use of improvisation, role play, song and movement, the children will: Recreate one of Columbus’s initial journeys by learning and performing a poem, explore a popular food from America, learn a dance from Asia and discover how the Vikings travelled around Europe
