Oaker Wood LeisureAt Oaker Wood we offer a range of activities specifically targeted at school children, including team building and problem solving, so children are still learning and growing while they're here!
Children will be encouraged to discover their adventurous side with Paintballing, Low Ropes Assault Courses, High Ropes & Zip Wire, Wild Camp, Den Building and even Rafting in the summer months when our lake is a little warmer!

In 2023 we enjoyed record numbers of children visiting Oaker Wood. We strive to continuously improve our offering so we are delighted to have added a brand new activity for 2024: Woodland Navigation!
Our Woodland Navigation Trail is themed around Orienteering (please note: this is NOT a full Orienteering Experience) children will use maps to Navigate around a woodland trail, whilst following the map they will be looking for items/pictures as they journey through our picturesque trees and forest routes. Children will love to explore and discover new sights as they travel around our huge woodland.
Perfect for children in years 3, 4 5, and 6, they'll have the chance to gain countryside and wildlife facts and insights from our instructors as they guide them along the trail. As they explore, children will punch their route card at each Orienteering Checkpoint they visit.
