Children can unleash their adventurous spirit with activities like Paintball, High Ropes, Low Ropes Assault Course, Target Shooting, Woodland Krypton, Rafting, and more.
School residentials at Oaker Wood give children the chance to connect with nature while developing valuable life skills. Our Multi-Activity Days and overnight camps fulfil the PE National Curriculum target of Outdoor and Adventurous Activity Challenges.
At Oaker Wood we make every effort to tailor activities to the needs of children with Special Educational Needs where required.
We find that taking part in outdoor activities will help to improve teamwork and problem-solving skills. Staff at this family-run business ensure children have an enriching experience during their visit.
Our newest activity Woodland Navigation is proving popular, this woodland navigation trail is themed around orienteering where children will use a map to navigate around a woodland trail, featuring pictures and information about woodland animals.
We have 2 completely separate Glamping Villages, so each school has exclusive use of a village, no sharing facilities with other schools. Each village sleeps up to 60 children, or for larger groups both villages can be booked together.
Accommodation is in Wooden Glamping Pods each sleeping between 4 and 8 on bunk beds. Pods have electric lighting and heaters for the colder months. There are heated showers and toilets within each Glamping Site and each Village has a covered communal dining area where you can opt for catered or self-catered or a mixture of the two.
At the heart of each Glamping Village is our campfire. Toasting marshmallows, singing campfire songs and telling stories all combine to make great memories of an Oaker Wood Camp.
