What activities are available during group visits?
Full day of adventurous team building activities at our woodland site - Low Rope Assault course combined with Woodland Krypton.
Mix and Match Team Building Day - Combine a morning on the low ropes assault course and an afternoon of activity of choice - High Ropes, Paintball or Rafting.

Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
Curriculum topics available: Team building.
Children are encouraged to work as a team, co-operation, communication and leadership are key in all the activities we offer. Our aim is for children to leave Oaker Wood with an understanding of the importance of team cohesion, working together and communicating with each other.Curriculum topics available: Climbing, High Ropes.
All of our activities are both physically and mentally challenging and encourage co-ordination, balance and strength.We also specialise in residential sports tours based at our on site Glamping Villages, a combination of activities and fixtures against local teams.

We hope that when children leave Oaker Wood they have a better understanding of team work and being a good citizen within their community.Camp fire, den building and outdoor pizza making are all activities we offer. We also offer a woodland navigation activity which enhances our outdoor woodland offering. Children will enjoy toasting mashmallows, working on their den buiding skills and exploring our vast woodland.
Here at Oaker Wood we are continually working to ensure that all guests enjoy the many benefits of our activities. If a member of your group has additional requirements, we will be pleased to discuss these with you. To enable us to make an accurate assessment of service provision and identify appropriate resources in relation to access, activities, successful participation and health and safety, we ideally need full details as soon as possible.
Ensuring we can cater for the additional needs of an individual requires advance notification to allow for appropriate planning. We are only able to take responsibility for arrangements that have been discussed and agreed with us in advance. We understand that additional needs could relate to disability, dietary requirements, behavioural difficulties or religious/cultural requirements. All requests for additional needs must be confirmed via email to info@oakerwoodleisure.co.uk.

Many of our activities are based around team building, including Borneo Low Ropes, Woodland Krypton Trail, and Rafting. Oaker Wood staff promote team buidling at all times.
Code Breaker is a team building activity based on our low ropes course. Cross the Amazon Log Roll, scale the Commando Wall and scramble up Catch Old Mine. The faster you work the more clues you collect. Paintball is a fantastic team activity where teams work together to acheive a team goal.

All senior instructors are first aid trained.

Who are Oaker Wood Leisure?
Oaker Wood Leisure is an independent Outdoor Activity Centre in Herefordshire. We specialise in school groups for residential and day activities as well as running Team Building activities at your school.
We have a programme of Team Building days based at our woodland site. With 175 acres of forest, social distancing is no problem and we have developed a programme of activities designed to work with children encouraging social skills, communication and working as a team. After so many months at home children need time to readjust to working as part of a team. Our activities include Team Building Assault Course, Woodland Krypton, High Ropes challenges, Paintball together with a programme for games designed especially with social distancing in mind.

£95 per child (plus VAT), catered, one night glamping residential
A glamping residential to remember! Children will have fun taking part in three activities such as rafting, high ropes and woodland krypton challenge. This trip is catered, with the children providing their packed lunch on the first day. Oaker Wood will provide supper, breakfast and lunch on day two. Children will stay in our glamping pods, and will have their camp exclusive to them. Showers, toilets, kitchen and camp fire all available.
Price is for October and November 2024.
£150 plus vat per person, two night residential, for October and November 2024
A two night catered adventure residential with a range of exciting and challenging outdoor adventures for children of all ages. Choose from high ropes, low ropes, rafting, paintball, target shooting and lots more!
Our Multi-Activity Days and overnight camps fulfil the PE National Curriculum target of Outdoor and Adventurous Activity Challenges.
We encourage Team Building and leadership skills for children of all ages, combining fun and personal development in a wonderful woodland environment. Watch children flourish in challenging new surroundings.
We specialise in residential camps and day activities and we are open all year round.
