Buzz Active are the East Sussex County Council Outdoor education provider, and they have a great range of activities and experiences on offer!
Buzz Active was born of an amalgam of two previous council sites. One site based on Eastbourne seafront, formerly Spray Water Sports, now Buzz Active Eastbourne offer primarily Royal Yachting Association accredited taster sessions, courses and multi activity options for educational groups. Focusing on sailing , windsurfing, powerboat training and is capable of catering for groups of up to 60.
At their Cuckmere site in the beautiful Seven Sisters Country Park, formerly know as the Seven Sisters Canoe Centre, now known as Buzz Active Cuckmere. Sitting in the heart of the Seven Sisters Country Park, a jewel in the crown of the South Down s National Park, they have an activity centre offering paddle sport based sessions, days and courses. Capitalising on the unique landscape and in particular the meanders, a 2 kilometre section of oxbow lake. cut off from the flow of the tidal River Cuckmere. This body of water is ideal as it is a placid water remit and is a great journey for groups to expolore the valley. This site lends itself well to supporting geography modules or just for a great day out in the countryside. We offer a rage of activities from tasters, whole days and courses including British Canoeing junior performance awards, stand up paddle boarding tasters and multi activity weeks for school groups, we also operate a full holiday programme during school holidays and at weekends.

Our land based offer, established for 5 years working closely with the local scout and guides seeks t support the local scout activity centre and camp site at Bushy Wood. At this site Buzz Active offer a day activity offer and a camping residential option for schools and educational groups.
Groups of up to 60 can stay under canvas in our troop tents, with options for one, two, three or four night stays and the ability to build bespoke packages utilising the water sport sites to make a truly unique residential stay the students will remember forever.
From this site the activities are high ropes activities such as crates stack challenge, Jacobs ladder, all aboard, climbing wall, archery, air rifles, pioneering, orienteering and bush craft . Outside of term time they offer forest adventure days on selected dates in the school holidays, which include climbing, archery, team games, and bush craft.
