Your Dan Tastic Education Workshop Facilitator will arrive at 07:30 to set up an exciting display of historical items, weapons, armour and lots of other interesting props.
Using humour, historical items, props, videos, teacher in role activities & a huge wealth of knowledge on the subject matter, your Dan Tastic Workshop Facilitator will educate and entertain your pupils for the full day, leaving the children a real insight into the history of your topic, a thirst for knowledge and the chance to use their writing skills to send us a letter or email.
Each theme is tailored to your School Topic, and we can work with you to create something bespoke, but our most popular history topics include the following:

As well as offering the ability to book a day looking at a single Ancient Civilsation, you could upgrade to have two different workshops delivered in one day, or you could upgrade to a Spectacular which would allow for a different presentation to be delivered to each year group / key stage so that the whole school could take part in the day!

An exciting display of exploration equipment of the past and present as well as Arctic & Antaractic animal furs, claws & antlers along with lots of other interesting artefacts to touch and interact with.
Using a fantastic presentation, artefacts, humour & a huge wealth of knowledge on the subject matter, your Dan Tastic Education Workshop Facilitator will educate and entertain your pupils, leaving the children with a real insight into life as an explorer, the polar regions, the explorers who travelled there and a thirst for knowledge that will leave them buzzing and excited about their Explorers & Polar Regions topic!
What size groups do you cater for?
Single Class to Full School!
- Full day experience with a single class
- Full day split between each class in a year group
- Full day split between the entire school
We can work with groups of any size, from a single class for a full day in the classroom to a full school presentation in the school hall.
We will work with you to create a timetable that suits the school's needs whilst allowing the children to get the most out of the day.

Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
We are always able to cater for Disabilities such as sessions based around mobility. We will work with teachers & carers to do what's needed to accommodate all children.

"We booked the superhero workshop for EYFS, Year 1 and 2 and it took place 2 weeks ago. Dan Tastic assured us that it was appropriate for this age range and my children were looking forward to it. Dan Tastic began the workshop by discussing weapons such as guns and knives. He then proceeded to show the children different types of weapons that superheros use to 'kill baddies'. He showed them scenes of violent hand to hand combat and gun fights and in one film clip a person was being strangled with a length of rope. When I enquired what rating the film clips were and whether they were appropriate for my class he said 'they are 12A films and I don't show them the really violent scenes'. I responded by saying that my children were only 4 years old so the film clips were not appropriate. He discussed the things he thought children needed to do to be smart; 'read books and listen to grown ups, if you don't do these things then you will be a dum dum'. He made the children jump by popping a balloon with an arrow and shouting loudly and abruptly. At one point he held the arrow to his head and then his chest and explained that if it shot him there he would die. He asked the children 'what would you do if a bad person came into your home or school and hurt your friends or family?' My children didn't respond so he answered 'The superheros will save you'. He chose children to model the superhero outfits and, without their consent, proceeded to put masks over their faces and touch their hands and arms. At one point he even lifted a child up (without any warning) several times to show everyone how 'strong he was'. The child in question looked visibly shaken. There were no Covid regulations or restrictions in place. I found the workshop completely inappropriate, with no apparent learning objective. My children were not engaged and a couple of them were distressed and cried. I pulled my class out of the workshop after 40 minutes as it was so awful. I would definitely NOT recommend this workshop or this provider, in fact I would actively warn against booking him at your school as it is in my opinion a safeguarding risk and he should not be sharing this material with young children. I reported my concerns to my headteacher as safeguarding lead. I wish I had known beforehand. DO NOT BOOK!"

They really focus on inspiring the children to learn, engaging the whole class with mind-expanding questions and taking them all on an adventure throughout the whole day.
