School Workshops - The Drama Hut
At The Drama Hut, we provide on-site history workshops, bringing subjects to life. For many schools, this is a cost effective and convenient alternative to expensive school trips. Through drama, children are able to experience a subject, complementing and enhancing their learning in the classroom.
Choose from over 16 topics or let us create a bespoke workshop for your school. All we require on the day of our visit, is a clear space to work in and a member of staff to observe or join in the experience.
Current School Trip Offer
For June and July only we will be charging £350 for any full day/ WOW day visit (up to 6 workshops). This equates to less than £2 per child, based on 30 children in each class.
Why are The Drama Hut a great choice for bringing fun workshops into your school?
As the pressure on schools to watch costs and the logistics of taking children on trips increases, we believe that we offer a viable and exciting alternative. All our team are trained both in facilitation and performance. They have experience working with children of all ages and share a common passion for learning through drama. All facilitators are DBS checked and implement The Drama Hut CPP (Child Protection Policy).

We currently offer workshops covering the following topics. WW1, WW2, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greeks, Mayans, Romans, Vikings, Anglo Saxons Tudors,Victorians, Florence Nightingale, Mini Beasts, World Book Day, Script Writing and The Great Fire of London. We are also able to write workshops following a brief from a teacher on a specific subject.
What size groups do you cater for?
We work with up to 30 children at a time and can offer sessions ranging from 45 minutes through to a full day. In addition to this we are able to offer introductory school assemblies on request.

★★★★★ Marie Hedges, Orleans Primary
"Drama Hut have worked with our school on many occasions. Each time, the workshops have been well planned out- with teachers ideas in mind, well executed by very enthusiastic practitioners and have been thoroughly enjoyed by all children! Each workshop has engaged the children enormously, using original ideas that involve the children through practical games and activities. I would recommend this drama company to all schools."
