Outdoor Learning Residential School Trip

Residential Trip Residentials London & South East

trip icon Your group will become immersed in great outdoors, getting an unforgettable explorative experience that combines adventure, education, and nature. Children will take part in trails, crafts, skills, games, navigating the grounds and exploring our extensive site.

All residential visits will have a Fiesta night included, this will be in costume and will celebrate your children's experiences at Ufton.

We offer a wide spectrum of woodland and bushcraft activities, learn essential survival skills such as fire lighting, knife skills and den building. Our STEM activities bring the wonder of science and nature together, encouraging hands-on exploration and experimentation in the great outdoors. Explore our site and surrounding woodland through our bike activities and rafting. You can include other activities in your visit which can either be led by staff or led by your own teachers.

Some Ufton-led activities are chargeable.

What activities are available during educational visits?

Experience the great outdoors by trying your hand at: fire lighting, den building and archery. Immerse yourselves in our heritage woodland and explore the natural wonders that await. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a novice in the wilderness, an Outdoor Learning residential will provide your children with unforgettable memories and a deeper connection to the beauty of the outdoors.

Which curriculum topics do we cater for?

Archery

Our experienced instructors make every activity accessible and enjoyable for all ages.
Set in over 60 acers of private grounds and woodland, children can really experience life in the outdoors. Some of our activities include Archery, Low Ropes, Raft building, and many hands on team building activities.

With our own farm onsite, children will have the chance to meet all of our animals which include pigs, goats, sheep, chickens and rabbits. They will be able to feed them, care for them and learn about their habitats and surroundings.
Children learn valuable skills, enhanced personal and social development, developing a deeper relationship with nature and having fun in the outdoors with friends!

green tick Bushcraft School Trip


Set in over 60 acers of private grounds and woodland, children can really experience life in the outdoors. Activities include fire lighting, knife skills, shelter building, outdoor cooking, archery, Kelly kettles and many more!
Children learn valuable skills, enhanced personal and social development, developing a deeper relationship with nature and having fun in the outdoors with friends!

At Ufton, children will have the opportunity to participate in a number of adventurous and memorable challenges, building personal confidence and self-esteem in the outdoors!
Activities include Blind games, ultimate frisbee, Wide and woodland games, parachute games, bridge the gap, ballistic challenge and much more!


What size groups do we cater for?

From 20 to 36 children

Is there first aid on site?

Yes, all our teachers are first aid qualified. However, all schools are expected to bring a first aid trained member of staff to administer first aid to their pupils.

Access for visitors with disabilities

Yes, we have disabled facilities in the house, tithe barn and cabin site, including a fully equipped disabled cabin and bathroom.

Visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Yes. Ufton is inclusive. All our activities are adapted to the childrens needs and support requirements. We have a fully adapted residential cabin, complete with hospital beds, full room hoist and adapted wet room. We also have an off-road wheelchair so no area is off-limits! Please do speak with us directly regarding any SEN requirements.
