Schools can choose between a variety of Outdoor Programmes meticulously designed to meet your specific aims and objectives. Whether you want a fun week jam-packed with new and exciting activities, a team building focussed residential to encourage communication between students, or a challenging week to develop resilience in your students - we can deliver it all.

Climbing Orienteering Archery High Ropes

Our diverse range of activities encourage all core skills involved in PE, such as; Balance, Coordination, Stamina, Problem Solving and Strength. We have activities such as; Climbing, Archery, Orienteering, Mountain Biking and other more Team focussed activities too.

SUP Stand Up Paddleboarding Kayaking Canoeing

Using a local delivery partner based on Beaulieu river, we can offer groups canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking activities.

Spend time navigating in the local woodland of the New Forest, immersing with nature whilst learning new skills! Such as foraging and campfire cooking, basic fire lighting (natural and man-made), natural shelter building and water purification.

What size groups do we cater for?

We have 3 accommodation blocks: The Bunkhouse (indoor, sleeps 38), The Enda Ryan Poppy Pods (camping pods, sleeps 80) and Camping (tents, sleeps up to 300).

Is there first aid on site?

All of our instructors hold a first aid qualification. We will have a duty manager overnight who also holds a first aid qualification.

Access for visitors with disabilities

Yes. We have accessible toilet/shower facilities and can alter certain activities to accommodate those with limited mobility. However, due to the grassy nature of the site those in a wheelchair may struggle to access all areas.

Visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Yes. We have specialist equipment and suitably trained staff to deliver a range of activities.

Who are Hampshire Outdoor Centres?

Tile Barn offers day and residential educational visits for KS1 to A-level students. Our location is perfect for groups looking to explore the New Forest on a budget. We welcome groups wishing to do their own thing - taking advantage of our spacious site and local walk/trails, as well as groups who want a fully delivered activity week by our instructors.

As part of Hampshire Outdoor Centres we have a shared vision with our 3 sister centres to deliver outdoor education programmes which enhance a young persons personal, social and academic development through a journey of challenge, adventure and self-discovery.

Everything we do is delivered with our 5 core values in mind; Resilience, Wellbeing, Being Safe, Respect and Sustainability.
