Dinosaurs are an inspiration and a fascination for children. For our "Introduction to Dinosaurs" workshop we bring a selection of genuine and replica fossils to your school from our museum. Highlights include a genuine Triceratops leg bone, a dinosaur egg and our replica Allosaurus skull (big, scary teeth!). The children are able to touch and study everything we bring in a hands-on, interactive workshop.Additional, complementary, workshops are available to build your own "Dinosaur Day" for one or up to six classes in a day.

Dinostar's workshops are exciting and engaging, presenting dinosaurs and fossils in the context of scientific enquiry. Subjects covered include evolution and science history and important figures such as Mary Anning are discussed.
Dinosaurs are a great topic which can be applied across the curriculum, in English, Mathematics, Art and, of course, Science.

Dinostar's workshops feature genuine and replica dinosaur fossils. During the workshops the fossilisation process is discussed and fossils are used to illustrate our understanding of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures.
Dinosaurs Workshop
Our workshops are perfect for budding palaeontologists! Pupils get to see and touch genuine and replica dinosaur fossils from our museum. They will learn about these magnificent creatures, their lives and their extinction.
Featured dinosaur fossil artefacts are from, amongst others, T. rex, Triceratops, Brachiosaurus and Allosaurus.
What size groups do we cater for?
Group sizes of about 30 are ideal, to give everyone a chance to see and touch the artefacts, but larger groups can be accommodated in combination with our other workshops.

Our prices are based on a day of workshops, regardless of the number of children and workshops involved. You may want two classes to have two or three workshops each, or you may want to 'Introduction to Dinosaurs' workshops for each of six classes. Discounts are available for multiple, consecutive days.
