Experience, Learn and Develop with an Educational Visit to Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre

The benefits of outdoor learning are extensive and well-documented. Firstly, it provides a practical context for learning, helping students to see the relevance of what they learn in the classroom. Learning outdoors also encourages students to connect with nature, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and gain hands-on experience to establish life skills, build character and create memories that last a lifetime. It promotes physical health by encouraging active participation in activities such as hiking, climbing, and orienteering, which builds positive long-term physical literacy.
Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre provides students with an enriching educational experience, offering a wide range of activities tailored to meet specific learning objectives. Avon Tyrrell educational programmes and residentials have been running for over 70 years and are designed to align with the national curriculum and can be customised to fit the unique needs of your group. The centre also has many awards and accreditations including AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Authority) and are a Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge holder.
The centre highlights the diverse options available for educational visits, including day trips and residential stays, all designed to maximize learning outcomes.
