We’re also a quality-assured Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) provider. We believe that outdoor learning offers unparalleled benefits when it comes to physical and mental well-being and therefore offers opportunities for young people to experience, learn and develop in an unrivalled environment.
Working closely with your wants, aims and outcomes, our activities have been designed to link to the national curriculum, as we want to ensure that we are providing the outdoor learning experience you and your students want. Each session provides your group with personal and group development opportunities and a new way of thinking that they can take back to the classroom and beyond. We have a wide variety of activities available, from kayaking to our Tree Top Trail and shelter building to night orienteering, not to forget the animal tracks, campfires, and disco.
With three different accommodation options, we’ve got you covered all year round for a comfortable stay! Our Grade I listed manor house is the perfect accommodation for larger groups- anything from 20-110 in dormitory-style rooms of mixed sizes. Group leaders have separate rooms on each floor with a TV and tea or coffee-making facilities. Our fully equipped Forest lodges are ideal for smaller groups or those looking for a little more independence. We have 6, 12 and 14 berths available, in total 64 people can stay on a variety of catering options. Or for those who want the full outdoor experience, we have group camping options too. You can either book our pre-pitched tents or opt to bring your own and have fun pitching your tents ready for your stay.
We have catering options too- so if you want a hot cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner or want to enjoy part-board or self-catered we can do it. Our chefs provide a varied menu choice providing quality food and options at every meal. We can also cater for most dietary requirements- just speak to the team and we can arrange this prior to your stay.
We are committed to accessibility and strive to give everyone the same opportunities to experience outdoor learning through adventure and discovery. We offer a range of accessibility equipment and our specialised team are passionate about inclusion.
We support you with every detail of your stay, from enquiry through to departure we can help guide you ensuring you are fully prepared for your visit. With resources available, so you can prepare for your stay, from Leaders packs through to risk assessments, the team will support you to have everything ready for when you arrive. You just need to arrange the transport! We can even arrange a site visit so you can see the site and select the right accommodation and activities for your group.
We are open all year round with many activities available regardless of the weather. We know budgets are an important factor when booking. We can find a time of year that suits you with great off-peak prices, the experience and outcomes are still the same. Depending on your budget, we have various packages available including accommodation, catering and activities.
