Spanish Immersion in Salamanca School Trips

Visions In Education

trip icon Salamanca is traditionally known as the area of Spain where the purest form of Spanish is spoken, with little regional accent or dialect. It is also a compact city with all accommodation within 15-20 minutes walking distance of the Spanish language school.

Our partner language school offers interactive Spanish lessons in closed groups with the content designed to meet your curriculum requirements. The Spanish lessons are supplemented with a comprehensive cultural activity programme including guided walking tours, museum visits, Spanish movies, Spanish cookery demonstrations, Lectures on Spanish Art or History and Spanish Dance lessons. All activities are delivered in Spanish and organised by a Spanish teacher or activities organiser.

Spanish lessons normally take place in the weekday morning with students returning to their accommodation for the Spanish lunch, the main meal of the day. Activities and workshops take place daily from 4pm to 8pm.

Accommodation is offered with carefully selected host families, all of whom have clean police records. Students are normally placed in pairs so that they can travel to and from the language school together. All host families are selected by the accommodation officer in Salamanca.

Anything else?

The content of the language lessons are designed to meet the learning outcomes of the particular school group. We put the group leader in direct contact with the Director of Teaching at our partner language school so that they can discuss lesson content and the level of the students before they arrive. In class, students will experience lots of speaking and oral communication exercises. Language lessons are delivered in closed groups and if there is more than one age group or language level then a number of groups can be formed.

Who are Visions In Education?

Our total immersion language school tours are designed to totally immerse secondary school students in the target language for the duration of the trip. Students return from this tour with an increased confidence to communicate in the language having immersed themselves in the target language even for a short space of time.
Your students will attend French or Spanish lessons at one our partner language schools where only the target language is spoken.
After lessons students participate in guided walking tours, cookery lessons or dance lessons all delivered in the target language.
To complete the total immersion epxpereince students have the opportunity to stay with a host family or in some locations such as Nice, Grananda and Benalmadena, hostel and hotel accommodation can be arranged.
We offer destinations largely untouched by mass tourism such as Montpellier, Rouen and Salamanca.
