Which Curriculum Subjects do we cater for?

green tick Languages

Click to read full text Rondo Travel's School Seville Tours provide an immersive and comprehensive approach to language learning, particularly focusing on Spanish. Our methodology for delivering the Languages curriculum during an overseas trip to Seville, a city rich in culture and history, is designed to maximize students' engagement and proficiency in Spanish through a blend of educational activities, cultural immersion, and practical application.

Here's how we facilitate language learning:
-Interactive Spanish Lessons: The itinerary includes structured Spanish lessons conducted by experienced, native-speaking instructors. These sessions are tailored to the students' proficiency levels, focusing on enhancing vocabulary, grammar, conversational skills, and comprehension. By situating these lessons within the context of their visit, students can immediately apply what they learn in real-world situations.

-Cultural Immersion: Language learning is deeply intertwined with cultural experiences. Our tours include visits to significant historical and cultural sites such as the Real Alcázar, the Cathedral and La Giralda, Plaza España, and more. Students are encouraged to interact with local guides and residents in Spanish, providing a practical application of their language skills and a deeper understanding of Andalusian culture.

-Spanish Language Workshops: Beyond conventional lessons, we incorporate workshops that focus on specific aspects of Spanish culture, such as Flamenco dance, traditional cooking, or local crafts. These workshops are conducted in Spanish, offering a dynamic way for students to practice the language while engaging in fun, educational activities.

-Guided Tours in Spanish: To further immerse students in the language, many of our guided tours are offered in Spanish. This approach challenges students to enhance their listening and comprehension skills as they learn about Seville's rich history and cultural heritage.

-Homestays and Local Interaction: Depending on the preferences and objectives of the group, we can arrange homestays with local families or interactive sessions with local students of similar ages. These experiences provide invaluable opportunities for conversational practice, cultural exchange, and the development of linguistic confidence in an authentic setting.

-Reflection and Language Practice Sessions: Each day concludes with a debriefing session, where students discuss their experiences, challenges, and achievements in Spanish. These sessions help consolidate their learning, reflect on their language use in various contexts, and plan for the next day's language application opportunities.

-Tailored Itinerary to Curriculum Needs: Recognizing the diverse objectives of language educators, we work closely with teachers to customize the tour to align with specific curriculum goals, whether focusing on conversational Spanish, cultural studies, or specific linguistic competencies.

-Accessibility and Inclusivity: We ensure that all students, including those with disabilities or special educational needs (SEN), can fully participate in and benefit from the language learning experiences offered during the trip. This includes providing accessible accommodations, transport, and activities, as well as adapting language learning materials and methods as necessary.

Through Rondo Travel's School Seville Tours, students are not just visitors but active participants in a living classroom where every interaction, from ordering food in a café to navigating the city streets, becomes a lesson in language and culture. Our commitment to providing a rich, immersive educational experience ensures that students return with improved Spanish language skills, a deeper appreciation of Spanish culture, and memories that will last a lifetime.

green tick Art

Click to read full text Rondo Travel's School Seville Tours are meticulously designed to offer a comprehensive exploration of the Art curriculum through immersive experiences in one of Spain's most culturally rich cities. Our approach to delivering Art education during an overseas trip emphasizes hands-on learning, historical context, and direct engagement with the vibrant art scene of Seville.

Here's how we facilitate an enriching Art curriculum experience:
-Guided Tours of Artistic Landmarks: Seville's history as a melting pot of Moorish and Spanish cultures provides a unique backdrop for studying Art. We arrange guided tours of key historical sites, including the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Real Alcázar, the Cathedral of Seville, and La Giralda, where students can observe and study a blend of architectural styles, from Gothic to Baroque and Mudéjar, offering insights into the evolution of art and architecture.

-Workshops on Traditional Andalusian Crafts: To provide a hands-on learning experience, we include workshops led by local artisans specializing in traditional Andalusian crafts such as azulejos (ceramic tiles), flamenco costume making, or the art of fan painting. These workshops not only allow students to understand the techniques and history behind these crafts but also to participate in the creation process, fostering a deeper appreciation for the cultural significance of local art forms.

-Visits to Art Museums and Galleries: Seville is home to several art museums and galleries showcasing both classical and contemporary art. Tours of the Museum of Fine Arts of Seville, Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo, and private galleries expose students to a wide range of artworks, from medieval to modern, and offer opportunities for critical discussion and analysis.

-Flamenco Dance and Music as an Art Form: Recognizing Flamenco as an intangible cultural heritage, we arrange for students to experience Flamenco through live performances and dance workshops. This experience not only highlights the emotional expressiveness and technical skill involved in Flamenco but also its role in conveying the historical and cultural narratives of Andalusia.

-Architectural Sketching and Photography Sessions: To encourage observation and artistic expression, we organize sketching and photography sessions at various scenic locations throughout Seville, such as Plaza de España and Parque de María Luisa. These sessions are guided by art educators and aim to enhance students' drawing and photographic skills while engaging directly with their surroundings.

-Interactive Learning and Reflection: Daily debriefing sessions are held to encourage students to reflect on their experiences, share their artwork, and discuss the historical and cultural contexts of the art forms they've encountered. This reflective practice is integral to consolidating their learning and understanding of art.

-Tailored Itinerary to Curriculum Needs: Understanding the varied objectives of art educators, we work closely with teachers to customize the tour to align with specific curriculum goals, whether focusing on specific art movements, techniques, or thematic studies.

-Inclusivity and Accessibility: Ensuring that all students, including those with disabilities or special educational needs (SEN), can fully participate in and benefit from the educational experiences offered during the trip is a priority. We provide accessible accommodations, transportation, and activities, adapting them to meet the needs of all participants.

By immersing students in Seville's rich artistic heritage, Rondo Travel's School Seville Tours offer an unparalleled educational experience that enriches the Art curriculum. Our aim is to inspire students with the beauty and diversity of art, encouraging them to explore their creativity while gaining a deeper understanding of the cultural and historical contexts of the art they study.
