Why book PrimeVR for educational workshops into your school?
Our workshops are a great way of bringing the curriculum to life without the hassle of organising a school trip!
During the Wonders of the World workshop, your children will 'virtually' visit and learn about the following landmarks:
- The Taj Mahal in India
- The Great Wall of China
- The Colosseum in Rome
- Christ the Redeemer in Rio De Janeiro
- Chichen-Itza in Mexico
- Machu Picchu in Peru
- Petra in Jordan
Your pupils will be given a number of facts on their tour of the world and our presenters will be more than happy to answer any questions.
Following on from this workshop, your pupils can create a travel brochure about their favourite Wonder of the World. Our literacy bundles include lesson plans, example texts and LKS2 and UKS2 writing checklists.
Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
Curriculum topics available: Creative writing.
At PrimeVR, we understand how difficult it can be to inspire children with their writing. We aim to create excitement by virtually transporting pupils to see the Seven New Wonders of the World! Not only will we provide your class with exciting facts about the Seven Wonders but we'll also provide them with an experience to ignite their imagination. Give VR a go and see how it helps with creative writing!
Following on from our workshop, you can download our literacy lesson pack, which encourages children to write about their favourite Wonders of the World. Each lesson pack includes an instruction sheet, model text and writing checklist (relevant to LKS2 or UKS2).
What activities are available during group visits?
We cover the following topics using VR:
Rainforests, Space, Egyptians, Mayans, Volcanoes, Wonders of the World, Under the Sea, WW1, Polar Regions, Digestive System, Romans, Stone Age, Mountains, Americas, The Tudors, Vikings, Circulatory System, Africa, Animals, India & Beyond, Journey Across China, The Respiratory System and Around the World.
What size groups do you cater for?
Over a full day, we can deliver a maximum of 8 workshops with up to 32 children in each (maximum of 256 children in a day). We bring in 16 VR headsets and we usually run our workshops with children sharing one headset between two. However, if you would prefer, we can split classes into two groups to allow children to have one headset each.
Do you offer on-site classroom facilities?
We deliver our workshops on the school-site. We require one classroom or hall for the day.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Yes. We've worked with a number of SEN schools and the response/feedback to VR has been fantastic.
