Why are PrimeVR a great choice for bringing fun workshops into your school?
Our workshops are a great way of bringing the curriculum to life without the hassle of organising a school trip!
During the Americas workshop, your children will visit the following landmarks:
- New York, USA
- Grand Canyon, USA
- Chichen-Itza, Mexico
- Christ the Redeemer, Rio de Janeiro
- Angel Falls, Venezuela
- Machu Picchu, Peru
Whilst visiting each of these locations, our passionate educators will provide your pupils with a range of facts and answer any questions they may have.
Following on from this workshop, your pupils can write a travel blog about each of the landmarks they've visited across the Americas. Our literacy bundles include lesson plans, example texts and LKS2 and UKS2 writing checklists.
What activities are available during group visits?
We cover the following topics using VR:
Rainforests, Space, Egyptians, Mayans, Volcanoes, Wonders of the World, Under the Sea, WW1, Polar Regions, Digestive System, Romans, Stone Age, Mountains, Americas, The Tudors, Vikings, Circulatory System, Africa, Animals, India & Beyond, Journey Across China, The Respiratory System and Around the World.
What size groups do you cater for?
Over a full day, we can deliver a maximum of 8 workshops with up to 32 children in each (maximum of 256 children in a day). We bring in 16 VR headsets and we usually run our workshops with children sharing one headset between two. However, if you would prefer, we can split classes into two groups to allow children to have one headset each.
Do you offer on-site classroom facilities?
We deliver our workshops on the school-site. We require one classroom or hall for the day.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Yes. We've worked with a number of SEN schools and the response/feedback to VR has been fantastic.
