Our workshops are a great way of bringing the curriculum to life without the hassle of organising a school trip! During this volcanoes workshop, your children will learn all about:
- The different key terms associated with volcanoes
- The different stages that volcanoes go through
- The different types of volcanoes on our planet
- Come up close and personal with an erupting volcano!
Your pupils will learn the difference between active, dormant and extinct volcanoes as well as the difference between shield, composite and calderas.
Following on from this workshop, your pupils can write an amazing piece of creative writing all about the different volcanoes they have visited around the world.

At PrimeVR, we understand how difficult it can be to inspire children with their writing. We aim to create excitement by virtually transporting pupils to see different volcanoes around the world. Not only will we provide your class with exciting facts about volcanoes but we'll also provide them with an experience to ignite their imagination. PrimeVR can bring your geography topic to life by transporting your class around the world to see different types of volcanoes! Using virtual reality headsets, we'll introduce your class to the different classifications of volcanoes, how often they can erupt and your pupils will also get to see an erupting volcano up close and personal!What size groups do you cater for?
We can deliver up to six workshops throughout the school day with a maximum of 32 pupils in each workshop.
We bring in 16 headsets and pupils will share one between two during workshops.
We recommend workshops lasting approximately 30-45 minutes.
