Bring your rainforest topic to life without the cost, paperwork or logistics of organising a school trip.During this immersive VR workshop, your pupils will journey deep into the Amazon, exploring each layer of the rainforest from the dark forest floor to the towering emergent layer. Along the way, they'll come face to face with fascinating wildlife, including Amazonian tarantulas, leafcutter ants, jaguars, sloths and playful capuchin monkeys in their natural habitat.
As well as discovering how plants and animals have adapted to life in the rainforest, pupils will investigate the effects of deforestation and explore why rainforests are so important to our planet.
The experience provides an unforgettable hook for learning, helping pupils retain key knowledge while setting the scene for exciting follow-up lessons linked to geography, science and English. Many teachers use the workshop as the perfect stimulus for creative writing, persuasive writing, discussion and cross-curricular project work.

Environmental Geography

Travel through the different layers of the Amazon Rainforest while exploring one of Earth's most important ecosystems.
Pupils will investigate the structure of the rainforest, understand why tropical rainforests are located near the Equator and examine the causes and consequences of deforestation. They'll also discuss how human activity affects rainforest environments and consider ways we can help protect them for future generations.

Groups with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)
Our workshops have been enjoyed by many pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and we understand that every class and every pupil is different.
Our sessions are delivered at a comfortable pace by experienced presenters, many of whom have worked in SEND settings. Many schools have found the immersive nature of virtual reality to be particularly engaging for their pupils, helping to capture attention and create memorable learning experiences.
We are happy to adapt our delivery where appropriate, including allowing extra time, offering flexible topic choices, reducing headset time where needed and providing tablets as an alternative for pupils who prefer not to wear a VR headset.
If your class has any specific accessibility or support requirements, please let us know before your visit. We'll work with you to tailor the experience wherever possible so that every pupil can take part and enjoy the workshop.
Yes.
Our workshops are designed to be as inclusive as possible, and we regularly adapt sessions to meet the needs of individual pupils.
All VR experiences take place in a carefully controlled environment, with pupils remaining seated throughout. If a pupil is unable or prefers not to wear a VR headset, they can still take part using one of our tablets, which provides access to the same content.
If you have any pupils with specific accessibility requirements, please let us know before your visit. We'll be happy to work with you to ensure everyone can participate fully.
