What activities are available during this educational workshop?

Workshops need to take place in the school dining hall, gym or sports hall. All the structure are dismantled as part of the workshop experience, so we are able to be out of dining halls in time for the catering staff to put out tables, which if necessary we will assist with.

Photographs are permitted of the workshops, so please ensure batteries in your cameras are fully charged. Video recording of the workshop process is strickly prohibited, as the processes of the workshops are covered by our copyright, but you may video your pupils during the activity.

Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?

Curriculum topics available: Logic and Problem Solving, Geometry, Ratio and proportion.

All of our hands-on workshops contain every aspect of STEM learning, from number and counting to shape and space the real word Maths involved is focused on the importance of triangulation in construction. From a Greek Temple to a modern Skyscraper

Curriculum topics available: Greek influence on the western world, Religion Trade Politics and Architecture.

The structure built is based on the Temple Of Athens and deomstartes the various parts of the building.

What size groups do you cater for?

2 x 45 (120 minutes each) or 3 x 30 (90 minute seach) in a day

Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?

Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

We are happy to work with SEN pupils who are part of a class, but if the percentage is greater than 25% we may have to adjust the total number accordingly. Likewise we can run workshops at specialist schools with smaller numbers.

Who are Architecture Workshops?

Designed to stimulate imaginations and excite children and teachers alike, the workshop focus is on simple ideas to great effect. Using numbers, counting, shapes and space pupil’s work together to build simple modular forms. The ideas found in this workshop are developed throughout our repertoire of workshops, from KS 1 & 2 right up to KS 3,4 & 5.
