The Drama Hut
At the Drama Hut, we believe passionately that children can benefit by experiencing a subject through drama. During our Greek workshop, they will have the opportunity to meet Charmos, an elite athlete turned tour guide who will help to bring the life and work in ancient Greece to life.
With a wide range of topics to choose from, let us create a unique learning experience for your school.
During the session the children will:
Explore the rich history of Ancient Greece, playing our fast paced 10 second picture game.
Learn the importance religion played, through improvisation, playing “Guess the God.”
Recreate one of the famous myths, the story of King Midas.
Learn about the origins of the Olympics and compete with Charmos in one of the earliest running races held in The Olympic Stadium.
Why are The Drama Hut a great choice for bringing fun workshops into your school?
At a time when expensive school trips are becoming harder to facilitate, The Drama Hut offers a cost effective and convenient alternative, coming directly to your school. Through drama, we are able to bring the subject the children are studying to life, complementing and enhancing their learning in the classroom.
All our actors are trained both in facilitation and performance. They have experience working with children of all ages and share a common passion forth history and learning through drama. All facilitators are DBS checked and implement The Drama Hut CPP (Child Protection Policy).
With over one hundred schools visited, we believe strongly the impact that drama can have within schools, and children’s education.
