At the Drama Hut, we believe passionately that children can benefit by experiencing a subject through drama. At a time when expensive school trips are becoming harder to facilitate, The Drama Hut offers a cost effective and convenient alternative, coming directly to your school. Through drama, we are able to bring the subject the children are studying to life, complementing and enhancing their learning in the classroom.
All our actors are trained both in facilitation and performance. They have experience working with children of all ages and share a common passion forth history and learning through drama. All facilitators are DBS checked and implement The Drama Hut CPP (Child Protection Policy).
With over one hundred schools visited, we believe strongly the impact that drama can have within schools, and children’s education.
During our Greek workshop the children will meet Athena, the feisty favourite Goddess of Zeus. Athena will bring to life some of the famous myths and legends that existed during this fascinating time and through drama, help the children explore and experience life and work in ancient Greece.
We cover a wide range of topics and can also develop bespoke workshops at a schools request. Topics included: Ancient Egypt, Mayans, StoneAge, Saxon and Viking, Victorians, Tudors, Great Fire of London, Florence Nightingale, WW1, WW2, Romans
We can work with up to 30 children at any one time and can offer special day rates for multiple classes. We are also able to provide two topics on the same day for different year groups, helping schools further manage costs.
"The children truly believed they had been visited by a Greek Goddess. It was fully inclusive throughout both sessions. Our leader, was highly professional and stayed in character throughout. She listened well to the children's contributions and her behaviour management was fantastic. Thank you for your visit!"
