Students work in smaller groups of around 15 students, which we call Tribes. The activities are designed so the students work collaboratively to achieve the end goal and realise their own potential. We put their skills to the test in multiple situations where they can truly be challenged in an exciting way. The students will have increased resilience and overall personal development.
Many of our activities encourage the students to be physically active in many ways, including collecting fire wood, wilderness walks and playing woodland games. It is a great way to enjoy fitness in a fun and safe environment.
All our activities are designed so that everyone can take part in every activity at the same time. This encourages teamwork and also ensures the students get the most out of every minute on camp. They are not simply watching their friends do an activity, they are experiencing every moment too.
Getting back to the great outdoors is the best way to promote healthy living. Many of our activities are physically active, so the students can enjoy exercise in a fun way. Other activities may be less physically active and instead promote mental challenges, encouraging them to be innovative and overcome challenges in an positive way.
We have a fantastic healthy menu on camp, catering for all dietary requirements. Students participate some of the cooking, giving them the opportunity to learn and have a positive understanding of the food we eat.
All activities are designed to build resilience, confidence and teamwork.
Great things happen in the great outdoors! Taking place in the tranquillity of the woods, students will engage and connect with the natural world in a way that possibly they have never done so before. They will go on interesting wilderness walks, learning about the wildlife around us. Our leaders have a fantastic depth of knowledge and are passionate about the natural world, which they love to share with the students
Bushcraft skills are at the core of what we do. There’s a whole host of activities available; Fire Lighting, Shelter Building, Camouflage and Concealment, Trap Making, Wilderness Cooking to name a few!
The leaders deliver engaging and exciting sessions where the students will learn a range of bushcraft skills, as well as developing personal skills such as communication, leadership and teamwork.
Bushcraft camps offer a unique and immersive environment for team building, fostering a sense of collaboration, resilience, and camaraderie among students. On camp, students are challenged to rely on one another to thrive in the natural world. Tasks such as building shelters, starting fires, and trap building require teamwork and effective communication, promoting trust and unity within the group.
Students learn to work to each others strengths, creating a dynamic team community. Additionally, the challenges presented at our camps encourage problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a shared sense of accomplishment when goals are achieved collectively. The shared experience of overcoming obstacles in the wilderness creates lasting bonds and memories, making camps a powerful and memorable opportunity for team building.
