In this immersive Ancient Egyptian escape room, pupils are transported back in time to explore one of history's most fascinating civilisations. Working in teams, they solve puzzles, collect virtual artefacts and uncover clues as they progress through three themed mini escape room challenges.
Each challenge is built around a key enquiry question and has been designed to support KS2 curriculum objectives while developing communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Room 1: The Broken Sphinx
Key Enquiry Question: Who were the Ancient Egyptians?
A statue of the Sphinx has been badly damaged near the River Nile. Pupils must solve a series of puzzles to recover the missing pieces and restore the monument.

Room 2: The Missing Mummies
Key Enquiry Question: What was mummification?
Three mummies have mysteriously disappeared from their coffins. Pupils must solve puzzles and uncover clues to locate the missing mummies and complete the mummification process.

Room 3: Restoring the Shrine
Key Enquiry Question: Who were the Egyptian gods?
Several statues of Egyptian gods have been damaged inside an ancient shrine. Pupils must work together to solve puzzles and restore the statues before the shrine is lost.
