Back on Earth, we transform chemistry from diagrams into interactive discovery. Students can manipulate elements with their hands, observing reactions at a molecular level in complete safety. History lessons become time travel, allowing classes to walk through the ancient wonders of the world, exploring the architecture of Rome or the pyramids of Giza as they stood millennia ago.

Located in the Bentall Centre, our facility utilises the latest suspended-cable headsets, ensuring high-fidelity visuals without the trip hazards or motion sickness often associated with older VR. Physics & Chemistry: Witness the Impossible Step inside our advanced stellar simulator to witness the life cycle of the cosmos. Students can birth their own star systems, observing the swirling dust and gas before watching them collapse into supernovae or black holes. In our Elements Lab, learners can shrink down to the atomic level, manipulating protons and electrons to understand the very building blocks of matter in an interactive, safe environment.

History & Geography: Global Expeditions Without leaving Kingston, your class can embark on immersive field trips to the world's most remote and historic locations. From the canopy of the Amazon rainforest to the decks of the HMS Victory, our library of high-definition 360° expeditions brings history and geography to life. Students can even board the ISS to experience life in orbit, exploring the station in stunning detail.

Seamless Group Learning We utilise industry-leading synchronisation technology, allowing us to manage the entire class experience simultaneously. Whether guiding 30 students through ancient Rome or coordinating a physics simulation, our system ensures every student sees the same content at the exact same moment, keeping the class focused, engaged, and effectively managed.

Inclusive & SEN-Friendly Learning at VRXtra Kingston

We have extensive experience delivering workshops across a wide range of SEN settings. Our permanent facility in the Bentall Centre is designed to be an inclusive environment, and the feedback we have received from schools regarding our adaptability has been overwhelmingly positive.

Pre-Visit Consultation Before confirming a booking, we arrange a call to discuss your students’ specific needs in detail. This allows us to explain the venue layout, the session flow, and agree on any adjustments required to ensure every student feels comfortable and supported upon arrival.

Accessibility & Comfort

Mobility: Our facility and VR headsets are fully accessible for wheelchair users.

Flexible Usage: Headsets can be worn with a strap or simply held up to the eyes like binoculars. If the immersive environment becomes overwhelming, we provide tablets as an alternative (usually up to four per group), ensuring no student is excluded.

Hearing Impairment: As our workshops are predominantly visual, students with hearing impairments can fully participate in the experience.

Risk Assessments & Logistics We know that paperwork can be the hardest part of planning a trip. That is why we provide comprehensive risk assessments for all our activities upon request.

Teacher Ratios: We offer free places for staff (typically 1 free per 10 students).

Lunch Facilities: Located in the Bentall Centre, we are surrounded by food options. If you require a space for packed lunches, please discuss this with us during your pre-visit call.

Parking & Travel: The centre has secure parking (ticketless), and we are a short walk from Kingston railway station and major bus routes.
