The view from the top of The O2 has everything you needed to identify human and physical geography and locational knowledge, including the regeneration of the local area. Through a smorgasbord of fun activities, children will use geographical skills and challenges to work out the clues and complete the puzzles.
Using The O2 as a case study, the business scheme of work will look at the different business elements that make The O2 successful. Aligned to Exam Board specifications, students will understand how the elements of the marketing mix work together to build a brand and must be adapted to meet customer expectations. Will they be able to create their own, unique product using the 7Ps from the research they carried out on their visit in their own 'Dragon's Den' finale?

Your students will explore, learn about and see the magnificent River Thames in our combined, cross-curricular programme focussing on Geography and History. Learn how Roman traders used the River Thames, how commerce has evolved over time when the Docklands was the world's busiest port right up to the regeneration of the area and the o2 sitting on its bank, whilst understanding the geographical features of England's longest river ' from source to mouth.
The O2 provides an inspiring stimulus to develop, refine, record and present a meaningful piece of art through the visual inspiration that it has to offer alongside the emotional element of the climb itself. The lines, sense of scale, form, shapes and array of textures that can be seen whilst both on the climb and from the viewing platform will ignite imagination in your students. Students will have the opportunity to record their experience through the camera lens in order to support their studies when back in the classroom.
As with all our resources, teachers will have access to our specially-developed curated lesson plans, objectives and PowerPoint slides giving real art examples before and after their visit in the classroom, plus a bank of photos to aid responses in the post visit lesson ' as well as guidance and tips during their climb ' to really inspire their students in their creativity.
We cater for children with special educational needs. We offer private climbs for SEN, we can adapt the experience to the specific group needs. We work with the teacher to understand the needs of the group, then we plan and share the information with the guides to be prepared on the day of the experience.
