Why book Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation for School Trips and Educational Visits?
At Eagle Heights, our ethos is conservation through education and inspiration. This is why we exist. So welcoming the next generation to learn and explore is so important to us. Our keepers will deliver a fun and engaging presentation, whilst sharing their vast knowledge of not only our animals, but also the plights of worldwide habitats and species that desperately need help. Through this, we hope (and have seen) children leave feeling inspired about our natural world and ways to preserve it.
Out expert staff are always keen to answer those burning questions and chat with children about the animals, meaning their learning goes further than just what they hear.
We are very proud to be an inclusive venue. As a family run organisation, with our own, personal experience in SEN and disabilities, we understand the barriers and anxieties felt when considering a day out. Eagle Heights is a welcoming, non-judgemental and adaptable organisation and we are happy to discuss any specific needs or flexibilities required on the day of your visit.

Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
Biology
Animals including humans Living things and habitats Evolution and inheritance Ecology and environment Life Cycles Habitats Minibeasts Life Sciences We teach students about biology during our live demonstrations with the Birds of Prey. Our presenters cover a variety of topics which all link closely to biology.
Specifically, Living Things, Evolution, Environment, Life Cycles, Predator & Prey, diseases and chemical threats to wildlife, Migration, Natural Behaviour, Flora & Fauna, Habitats & Habitat loss, Bio-Diversity, Adaptation, Natural World & more.
Wildlife
As a Wildlife Foundation, everything we do is about Wildlife.
From browsing the animals and reading the information signs, to enjoying our educational display, all visitors learn lots about wildlife, including threats they currently face in the wild, their habitats, their predators and prey, diet, behaviour, conservation etc.
Our side is also a 'Wildlife Oasis', attracting thousands of insects and wildlife. We have bug hotels around the site as well as Bee conservation areas. Staff are always happy to chat about how we have encouraged biodiversity on site and how you can do the same at home. Even those without a garden can make small changes to their home to help wildlife, such as window boxes, balcony plants etc. We are extremely passionate about this and always hope to share this passion, especially with the next generation!

A 'hidden gem' in area of outstanding beauty, Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation is a unique and diverse Centre with Birds of Prey, Alpaca, Farm Animals, Meerkats, Huskies and more. The flying displays are not to be missed. Passionate about the environment, we have recently gained the Silver Green Tourism Award.
