YHA Sherwood Forest School Trip

location icon Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire NG21 9RN

Residential Trip

trip icon YHA Sherwood Forest is set on the edge of the area famed for being Robin Hood's home territory. This hostel has cosy social areas and a quirky exterior, with mostly en suite bedrooms, a spacious dining room, upstairs lounge and convenient drying room.

Visit the nearby Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre, developed in partnership with the RSPB for tailored activities, inspiring writing and art-based tasks. You can also learn about woodland habitats and build on those teamwork skills. Or have a look at the Major Oak, one of the biggest oak trees in Britain. There are plenty of walking and cycling routes all within easy reach, perfect for activity breaks.

A perfect location for exploring Greenwood and delving into Robin Hood's myths. The woodland also presents opportunities for outdoor learning, covering subjects like geography and science.
