What activities are available during this educational workshop?
Conquest of the Celts - This session examines why the Romans came to Britain
and compares and contrasts the differences between the Romans and the Celtic tribes they met using dressing up and role play.
Legendary Legions - A two-part completely immersive session where students become army recruits, drill & train, shoot real Roman artillery and learn the discipline of Roman legionaries.
Carnage in the Coliseum - One of our signature sessions, with the use of cutting edge props and scene setting we recreate the mayhem and madness of the Arena and the important part it played in Roman life.
Barbaric Battles - One of our most engaging sessions, these follow a structured format of training for war, setting the scene and enacting out the key points of Historic Battles like Caer Caradoc and Boudicca’s Defeat
and compares and contrasts the differences between the Romans and the Celtic tribes they met using dressing up and role play.

The Roman Army Roman Buildings Romanisation and ways of life The Roman Conquest and Hadrians Wall Boudicca Rebellion Our Roman Legacy Based around the Romans in Britannia, our workshops cover the comparisons between the Roman Invaders and the Celtic tribes they met, how the legions fought and conquered, everyday life in Roman Britannia and so much more.
What size groups do you cater for?
Any. We can take one class, a whole year group or the whole school depending on your budget!

Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Yes absolutely. We currently work in partnership with a local SEN school so we are experienced in delivering to all levels.
Who are The Past Presents?
At The Past Presents we combine our years of experience teaching young people with our unrivalled equipment, resources & activities to bring to you the wonderment of the past.
Our passion is to provide an evolving, ever-improving vehicle for learning which we can use to spark in your young people an interest in History.
It is also important to us that we use these wondrous vehicles for learning to communicate one of the key reasons for studying History....that understanding the past helps us understand who we are and where we are going.
