Why book
'Stone to Iron Ages!' with The Past Presents
When it comes to what we deliver and how we deliver it, nobody goes the extra mile like we do...
OUR VANS ARE HUGE! ... because we fill them with resources, kit and equipment for you!
OUR SET-UP TIMES ARE LONG! ...because we want to take the time to turn your classroom, hall or playground into Ancient Wonders!
OUR INSTRUCTORS ARE PHYSICALLY FIT! ...because they don't stand and talk; they act, fight, direct, group manage, build and construct alongside your young people.
In short....no one will go as far as we do to ensure your young people have the most value from one of our visits!

What activities are available during this educational workshop?
Massive Megaliths: Young people discover why the ancients built these and what they represented through constructing their own mini henges. They then practice ancient construction skills by moving our huge monoliths into position and erecting 'Schoolhenge' in the hall!
Stone Age Skills: A round-robin session crammed full of useful skills not just crucial to Stone Age people but skills we can benefit from today. From different kinds of fire lighting to processing skins and making cordage, this session will leave young people with a wide array of skills.
Harmonious Hunters - Students engage in the skills of hunting that enabled our ancestors to survive and thrive in varied environments. From Tracking to Archery and Spear skills,
this session delivers hands-on learning like no other.
Ancient Artistry - We examine the link between nature and belief as students prepare natural materials for cave painting and ceremonial use and undertake a ritual painting to call the gods for a successful hunt!
Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?

What size groups do you cater for?
Any. We can take one class, a whole year group or the whole school depending on your budget!
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
n/a
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
