What size groups do you cater for?
Groups usually start at a minimum of 10 with no maximum group size. For primary & middle schools we work on a 1:10 free place for a teacher.
Do you offer on-site classroom facilities?
If you require use of a classroom or meeting room we will always try and facilitate this for you. Please let us know at the initial request stage.
Is there first aid on site?
In our experience, schools normally have at least one accompanying member of staff who is a current registered first aider. For coach groups a coach will always have a first aid box on board.
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
Curriculum Travel will always try to assist to ensure inclusivity on any of our group trips. This is best achieved by discussing any special requirements from the initial inquiry. Sadly not all destinations are currently accessible but we will always advise on suitable alternatives or work arounds.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Curriculum Travel is proud of its history in providing successful and rewarding tours to many groups with SEN needs. The needs of the individual are always taken into consideration

Each itinerary we design is specifically crafted to align with your unique Learning Objectives or Curriculum studies, ensuring they are suitable for the age group of the participants. The following itinerary is an example of what we can offer:
Day 1: Journey to Southampton and Introduction to the Isle of Wight
- Departure from the school by coach, heading towards Southampton, with comfort breaks planned along the way.
- Board the Red Funnel ferry for a scenic trip to East Cowes.
- Participants are encouraged to bring their own packed lunches, supporting our commitment to environmental sustainability by using re-usable water bottles.
- En route to our accommodation, we'll stop at Dinosaur Isle for engaging beachfront workshops.
- Check-in at our carefully selected hotel or hostel in the early evening.
- Dinner will be served at the accommodation, followed by a relaxing evening visit to the beach.
Day 2: Exploration of Coastal Heritage and Natural Beauty
- Start the day with breakfast at the accommodation and pick up your packed lunches for the day.
- Our first stop will be the Bembridge RNLI Lifeboat Station, providing insights into maritime rescue efforts.
- Next, we'll explore the Brading Roman Villa, with time allocated for lunch in the designated lunch room, followed by educational workshops.
- The afternoon will be spent at either Robin Hill Country Park or Blackgang Chine park, offering a perfect setting to expend energy.
- We'll return to our accommodation for dinner, with the evening capped off by a visit to the mesmerizing Waltzing Waters.
Day 3: Historical and Natural Wonders
- After breakfast and collecting packed lunches, our day begins with a visit to Carisbrooke Castle, complemented by interactive workshops.
- Lunch will be enjoyed within the castle grounds.
- The afternoon adventure takes us to The Needles Pleasure Park at Alum Bay, including an exciting boat trip around the iconic Needles.
- Dinner back at our accommodation.
- The evening's entertainment includes a visit to Shanklin Seafront and its amusement park.
Day 4: Royal Encounters and Farewell
- Following breakfast and the collection of packed lunches, we'll check out and load the coach, setting our course back towards East Cowes.
- Our final visit will be to Osborne House, the beloved residence of Queen Victoria, offering a glimpse into royal history.
- We'll then make our way to the Ferry Terminal in East Cowes for our return journey.
- The trip concludes with our arrival in Southampton, from where we will continue by coach back to the school.
