One Day Creative
One Day is a forward-thinking creative education company, connecting children and learning with creativity and imagination. In this drama workshop, KS2 pupils will be joined by a One Day facilitator for an expedition into these (not so) desolate tundras. Using performing arts, this workshop looks at everything from brave explorers to climate change, Arctic habitats to Antarctic wildlife. Hop on board the mighty ship Endurance and set sail towards the ends of our world! 
British Science Week 2026
Like Ernest Shackleton and Ann Bancroft, pupils will join an expedition into these (not so) desolate tundras. Using performing arts, this KS2 workshop looks at everything from brave explorers to climate change, Arctic habitats to Antarctic wildlife. An ideal workshop for British Science Week.

What activities are available during this school workshop?
In this workshop your class will have the opportunity to express ideas and feelings through voice, movement, role play and drama. Pupils will also:

Physical Geography Workshop
Polar Regions Continents Environment
Explore the different animals found living in the North and South poles, why they are well-suited to these frozen habitats and the weather associated with different seasons. Learn about Arctic and Antarctic landscapes and notable characteristics.
Performing Arts Workshop
All our workshops use drama, dance and/or movement to stimulate learning and capture children's imaginations. Our team of performing arts professionals have a range of activities up their sleeve to ensure your chosen topic is as accessible and engaging as possible for your pupils.
Biology Workshop
Animals including humans Living things and habitats Evolution and inheritance Ecology and environment Habitats
Discover the habitats, living things and ecology of the two polar regions: North and South Pole. Using the performing arts, pupils will discover the difference between Arctic and Antarctic landscapes, human and animal inhabitants, and the effects of climate change on these unique frozen kingdoms.
What size groups do we cater for?
We can deliver workshops to up to 4 classes in a school day, depending on the type of workshop and age group of the classes involved. Each session caters for a maximum of 35 children.
Visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Absolutely! Drama is a wonderfully inclusive way for children with SEN to access learning. Please let us know of any specific needs or requirements before your day and we can adapt our sessions to fit.
