Arctic and Antarctic Workshop
One Day Creative
One Day is a forward-thinking creative education company, connecting children and learning with creativity and imagination. In this drama workshop, KS2 pupils will be joined by a One Day facilitator for an expedition into these (not so) desolate tundras. Using performing arts, this workshop looks at everything from brave explorers to climate change, Arctic habitats to Antarctic wildlife. Hop on board the mighty ship Endurance and set sail towards the ends of our world!

What activities are available during this school workshop?
In this workshop your class will have the opportunity to express ideas and feelings through voice, movement, role play and drama. Pupils will also:
Examine the characteristics of Arctic and Antarctic landscapes
Explore the inhabitants, both human and animal, you might find there
Encourage awareness of the impact that modern life is having upon this frozen kingdom

Encourage awareness of climate change and the impact modern life is having upon these frozen kingdoms. Discover how changes might affect both the animals and humans who call the Arctic and Antarctic home.

>What size groups do we cater for?
We can deliver workshops to up to 4 classes in a school day, depending on the type of workshop and age group of the classes involved. Each session caters for a maximum of 35 children.
Groups with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)
Absolutely! Drama is a wonderfully inclusive way for children with SEN to access learning. Please let us know of any specific needs or requirements before your day and we can adapt our sessions to fit.
