One Day Creative
One Day is a forward-thinking creative education company, connecting children and learning with creativity and imagination. In this school wellbeing workshop, your KS2 class will explore the symbiotic relationship between body and mind, plus what we can do to keep both healthy. We’ll investigate how to decipher food labels, how physical activity can affect our mental health, and where we can look to find out if what we’re eating contains too many nasties (like sugar or saturated fats). Afterwards, we’ll round off the day with a sharing session to make sure the whole school community understands the positive effects of a varied and balanced lifestyle.

In this Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds workshop, your class will have the opportunity to express ideas and feelings through voice, movement, role play and drama. In addition, they will:
✨ Explore what they can do to keep their bodies and mind in peak condition
✨ Examine the healthy living choices they make every day and the outcomes of these choices
✨ Share what useful information you can look out for on food labels

Which curriculum topics do we cater for?
PSHE Workshop
Healthy Living Healthy eating Mental health and awareness
During the course of the workshop day, our drama facilitator will guide your class through exploration of the differences between physical and mental health, food labels and the importance of a varied and balanced lifestyle.
Performing Arts Workshop
All our workshops use drama, dance and/or movement to stimulate learning and capture children's imaginations. Our team of performing arts professionals have a range of activities up their sleeve to ensure your chosen topic is as accessible and engaging as possible for your pupils.
We also make sure to tie in key curriculum objectives linked to your chosen topic. Our extensive range of school workshops cover History, STEM, Geography, World Culture, PSHE and more.
What size groups do we cater for?
We can deliver workshops to up to 4 classes in a school day, depending on the type of workshop and age group of the classes involved. Each session caters for a maximum of 35 children.
Visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Absolutely! Drama is a wonderfully inclusive way for children with SEN to access learning. Please let us know of any specific needs or requirements before your day and we can adapt our sessions to fit.
