Roman Empire in Britain School Workshops
Our school children are spoilt for choice when it comes to learning about the many and varied periods of British history. Although it is nearly impossible to pick a favourite, who doesn't like hearing about the Romans! Roman history workshops can be delivered at your school by experts who have dedicated their professional lives to soaking up knowledge about the invaders from Rome. Their passion is sharing that information with primary school groups, through story telling and practical demonstrations.
Our workshops are designed to cover any aspect of the Roman occupation, from the early raids by Julius Cesar in 55BC, to early conquest by Claudius in 42AD. The subsequent campaigns against the Welsh and the Pics. The romanisation of Britain and the eventual collapse of the roman empire in the early 400s AD. Along the way you can focus on invasion and wall building, the British resistance to occupation by Boudica and her army, the development of towns and cities, the adpotion of Roman ways of life and what life was like for Roman children and families who were swept into the incredible Roman empire.
Help your children become Roman experts with a school workshop that can teach them how to create mosaics, handle Roman artefacts, even learn some Latin.
