Storytelling Makes Learning EPIC!

The University of Bath, UCL's Institute of Education, European Lifelong Learning... They've all released studies over the last two decades proving that learners learn best when taught through storytelling. And
Epic Tales®
was right there at the start, helping to design the ELL's controlled study which saw the average score of students in a standardised test rise by 26% after story-led learning.Epic Tales has now been acquired by Immersive Dome Experiences Ltd, one of the UK's leading STEM providers, to dramatically extend its reach and enable more schools to benefit from this uniquely powerful and empowering educational tool. In just the first year since Immersive took control, Epic has produced the world's first handbook for educators proven to improve reading for pleasure among their learners following a commission from the National English Hub, and delivered World Book Day performances and teacher training from Newcastle to Dorset.

The ability of Epic's finely-honed storytelling style to inspire learners to read was noticed as far back as 2011, when its founders Amy Scott Robinson and Chip Colquhoun were commissioned by the Oxford Reading Tree to produce their 'Traditional Tales' online videos - at that time, the first ever videos to appear online in which a storyteller directly engaged the listener through the camera.
Storytelling can inspire great writing too. Arts Council England have funded no fewer than five UK theatre tours produced by Epic which grew from stories created by learners in school workshops. Since Epic went on to have an international reputation, sharing stories in countries such as Italy, Romania, Argentina, and Hong Kong, this means many British schoolchildren have felt the awe-inspiring delight of knowing their creativity has literally travelled around the world.

Epic's offerings under Immersive include programmes designed to raise reading and writing standards in schools, but also help schools deliver knowledge-rich lessons that are effective, memorable, and enjoyable all at the same time. They can also provide a fun celebration to learners - who probably won't realise they're picking up heaps of transferable skills along the way...
Most excitingly, Epic Tales has teamed up with student-led social enterprise Youth Climate Solutions to support schools in preparing for the UK Government's 2025 obligation to develop their own Climate Action Plans. The Epic-YCS will help your school meet this obligation by inspiring and equipping your students to produce it for you - allowing you to reduce your climate impact whilst increasing your students' knowledge and skill.
