Jersey School Tour
Sweet ChariotNot only is Jersey a beautiful Channel Island, with stunning beaches and landscape, it is loaded with experiences for students. Jersey is ideally suited to certain subjects, such as Music & Drama, History, Geography and French.
Having teamed up with Visit Jersey and having taken hundreds of tours to Jersey over 20 years, Sweet Chariot opens up the opportunities to schools with its itineraries.
What is so special about Jersey?
Jersey is beautiful, interesting, relaxing, safe, friendly and accessible.
Why is Jersey suitable for my subject?
We have scoped out the best the island has to offer and have selected subjects to which Jersey adds value.
With Chateau Vermont and help from the guys there, a drama student or musician will enjoy wonderful facilities on site and work with local musicians and drama teachers to get the most from the week. You can perform at open-air ruins overlooking the sea, in local churches or even at Jersey Zoo.

Jersey's recent history is plain to see. Through our relationship with Visit Jersey, we will show-case its history and heritage, stretching back through medieval history, even to prehistoric times.
We will work with you to structure the week to the best advantage but the range of opportunities is huge.
For geographers and geologists, we hardly need to spell out Jersey's Precambrian to Lower Palaeozoic rock types varying from shales and sandstones, through to andesites and minor basalts, flow-banded and spherulitic rhyolites, but now is your chance to study them in situ.
How much is a week in Jersey with my group
This will depend on when you travel, how many nights you stay for, how many people are in your party, how many staff places are included and the content of your trip. We will quote you a price once we have understood requirements, but a ball-park figure would start at around £650 per student.
What age groups are suitable for these trips?
The short answer is 10 - 18.
Whilst we have pre-planned itineraries, we will adapt the programme to match your key stage and preferences. There are many ways of tailoring both the education and excursions to the age group.
Why should we travel with Sweet Chariot?
We have been successfully sending groups to Jersey for 20 years and we consider ourselves experts. Our Jersey guru, Simon, lived there and Kate specialises in the study tours to Jersey.
We have run a sports tournament in Jersey for over 10 years and we work closely with suppliers on the island and with Visit Jersey. We love the place.
